DD-Scientific acquired by Teledyne Technologies Inc.

We are pleased to announce that on the January 14, 2026, DD-Scientific Holdings Limited and its subsidiary DD-Scientific Limited were acquired by Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, a leading global provider of sophisticated digital imaging products, instrumentation, aerospace and defence electronics, and engineered systems.

This acquisition enables further growth, the incorporation of additional sensor technologies, and a continuation of the meaningful relationships we have worked hard to build with our customers around the globe over the last 15 years.

Whilst ownership may have changed, our commitment both to our customers and to innovation remains, with our Founder Daniel Davies and the DD-Scientific management team remaining in place as we take this next step in our exciting journey.

For DD-Scientific and our customers, it’s “business as usual” and we would like to reassure you of the following:

  • DDS will function as a separate business unit within Teledyne’s Instrumentation Segment and will remain in Portchester, Fareham UK
  • Any confidentiality agreements which are in place will remain, and new agreements will continue to jointly protect both intellectual property and commercial interests
  • To best protect our End Users, OEM Accounts, and distribution partners, sensitive customer information retained in our opportunity management tools will remain within DD-Scientific
  • We will continue to trade with Teledyne’s gas instrument businesses as we have to date, with sales to these companies currently accounting for less than ~3% of our global turnover

As we transition into our new ownership structure over the coming months there will be changes to our branding and internal systems which both DD-Scientific and Teledyne are committed to implementing with minimal impact to customers.

We look forward to delivering the benefits of this acquisition to our customers in the coming months and years and are excited for what lies ahead.
